Larry is with IRIS ministries in Mozambique. He works in a children's center and oversees the operation of the kitchen, which serves about 500 meals 3 times a day, 7 days a wk, lunch meals run about 600-650.

Larry also teaches in the Bible School, teaching pastors and those that plan to go into ministry. He is an overseer of a dorm of about 45 boys, ages 11 to 14 at the orphanage.

Larry works with some boys and families in the community, helping with food, housing, education and whatever he can do to help them get out of poverty and make a living on their own.

Mountain Hope Children’s Home

Mountain Hope Children's Home was started in 1967. The orphanage was started by Pastor Pepe and Margie Mayamm with one then seven children.

The main emphasis for the orphanage for the children to learn is to teach them to know Christ. Many of the children continue onto the Bible School that the orphanage runs and become pastors.

The cost to support one child is about $1.00/day or $35.00/month.

The goal of the Mountain Hope Children's Home is to become a self-supporting orphanage and Bible School. They want to have a fish farm, as well as grow rice the main food in their diet, vegetables, chickens and pigs . This will give them enough food to live on, support the Bible College as workers of the farm and have some left over to sell to the locals for revenues.

Courtney is using his skills as a pilot and aviation mechanic to serve Bible translation projects in Southeast Asia.  For many isolated people in the world, aviation is the only link to the outside world.  Without having safe and reliable air transportation to these isolated villages translation projects would be very slow and, in some cases, non-existent.  In these areas the airplane also becomes an ambulance for the sick.  

Courtney and Beth feel privileged to serve as support for translators to see that all people have the Bible in the language they understand best.

Derek and Rose Cardwell

Derek is a full-time assistant pastor in Praise Revival Center, a thriving local church in the heart of Davao City with 550 people in membership.  Derek's ministry is over the evangelistic ministries in homes and offices throughout the city. 

Rose assists Derek in this full-time ministry.  Rose also assists in supporting a feeding program in partnership with another church.  This feeding program supplements the nutritional needs of elementary school children.

Long-term vision:  Derek and Rose are both united in a vision to plant churches among the Muslim peoples of Africa.  That vision will come to pass by God's grace in His time.
